what we do

Thesele’s objective is to create long-term value through the establishment of sustainable platforms and strategic investments. We are not driven by sector specifics but rather by our investment philosophy. In particular, we aim to invest in established companies that are cash generative, with a sound management team and successful track record. To date we have been active in the areas of investment management, property, industrials and advisory.

We conduct an extensive evaluation of the capital investment requirements for our partners including a thorough analysis of the potential benefits and risks, and ensure that the required investment adds positively to the economic value of our identified partners.

Investment philosophy

Thesele’s investment approach covers the following principles

  • We evaluate our existing investment partners and search for opportunities to unlock and/or create value;
  • We consider the cash generative potential of our future business partners;
  • We review consolidation, and merger and acquisition opportunities;
  • We aim to add value using our financial, strategic and management expertise and range of established networks;
  • Investment partners should present a meaningful investment size and equity percentage;
  • Our investments should provide the opportunity for influence at a corporate and industry level;
  • Our partners should demonstrate strong operational management capability with a proven track-record; and
  • We believe that businesses underpinned by significant black economic empowerment principles is a key factor for success
