Thesele Group was established in December 2004 as a majority black-owned and managed skills-based black empowerment company. Our core focus is identifying, investing in, adding value to and unlocking value from quality investments. We are committed to adding explicit strategic value to our investment partners. We enjoy excellent relationships and an ongoing working partnership with all of our existing partners.

We engage with our investment partners at all levels and provide our partners with an effective and fresh view to positively benefit the company and the shareholders. Our active involvement aims for the creation of value-add at a strategic level and at an operational level where appropriate. Thesele has developed strong and deep relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the public and private sector. These networks are invaluable to our partners in enhancing existing business relationships and developing new business opportunities. Although we have big ideals, we strive for accomplishment, through pragmatic delivery of results.

Ownership structure

Thesele’s ownership structure depicts a strong owner-managed culture and we are committed to remaining majority black-owned. Thesele is also committed to broad-based BEE and facilitating further broad-based participation at transactional level. Our institutional investors are Sanlam (through the Sanlam Private Equity Fund) and Standard Bank.
